Objectives
112 is the new single emergency number which can be used throughout Europe. An event was planned for Februray 11th, this was the 112 European Day. On this occasion, a kids’ corner was added to the 112 section of the DG INFSO Thematic portal. Emakina was asked to produce a hosted interactive quiz and a puzzle for children between the ages of 6 and 12.. This material is available at:
Description
The quiz and the puzzle were developed with e-mail functionality and were designed to facilitate the distribution and dissemination of information about the new 112 emergency number. The tools were developed in 23 language versions.
The Flash animation quiz with a “send to a friend” functionality contains 10 multiple choice questions. Answers and explanations are revealed after each question but the player is not allowed to move to the next question unless he answers the previous one correctly. Illustrations have been produced for every single question.
The Flash animation puzzle with the same “send to a friend” functionality contains key messages and has 3 levels of difficulty. A count down has been set up for both games in order to entice the children to play again and improve their scores.
